Working Together to Clean OUR County

The Tuscaloosa County Clean program is a partnership between Tuscaloosa County agencies and the Tuscaloosa community to reduce litter and keep OUR county clean! Community groups interested in cleaning up an area of the county can get involved by clicking below or by calling the Solid Waste Department at (205) 464-8216. Safety vests, trash bags, and other equipment will be made available upon request.

 

Spring Cleanup

Clean out your closets, attic, garage, storage room, basement, or whatever, and bring your “throwaway” items to one of our drop off locations! The Tuscaloosa County Commission is partnering with Waste Management, Inc. to host the annual spring cleanup on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 8:00am-2:00pm. There will be manned locations in each of the four County Commission districts, and they can be found below.

Commission District 1:

  • Camp Coker (13600 HWY 82 West, Coker)
  • Camp Samantha
  • Yellow Creek VFD

Commission District 2:

  • Hwy 216/Woodland Lake Rd
  • Hwy 216/Keenes Mill Road
  • Holt Elementary School

Commission District 3:

  • N. Rosser Rd/Old Greensboro Rd
  • Hargrove Road East/Oakview Lane
  • Duncanville VFD

Commission District 4:

  • Foster’s Grocery Store Parking Lot
  • Buhl Elementary School
  • New Life Baptist Church
