To find out if a road is county-maintained or for right-of-way information, please provide the following information when you call:

  • The name of the road
  • The address of the location, or the house number closest to that location
  • Any cross streets or landmarks, if a house number is not available

If there is an emergency situation (such as a downed tree on a public road) outside of our office hours (Monday – Friday, please call the Sheriff’s Department at (205) 752-0616 to report the problem.

The department is also responsible for road and traffic signs. Please contact the office for more information.
