The Tuscaloosa County Civil Service Board is accepting applications for the position of Deputy Director – Maintenance and Facilities. This supervisory position is responsible for the maintenance and facilities operation of all general maintenance of all Tuscaloosa County Commission facilities. The employee in this class is responsible for the efficient operation of mechanical and electrical maintenance of electrical systems, HVAC systems, mechanical systems, and electronic systems.
An associate degree from an accredited post-secondary college in electrical technology, electronics technology, air conditioning and refrigeration, or drafting technology is required. Additionally, 10+ years as a manager or director in a maintenance environment or skilled trades and State of Alabama Board of Electrical or Plumbers Contractors license are required.
